BANK OF AFRICA - KENYA LIMITED (BOA-KENYA) is seeking a Corporate Relationship Officer to manage corporate client relationships and facilitate growth within the bank's portfolio. The role involves managing the end-to-end credit application process, performing detailed financial analysis, and identifying business opportunities through cross-selling. The officer will work closely with the Relationship Manager to ensure customer satisfaction, risk compliance, and achievement of commercial objectives.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Credit Application Management: Set up and follow up on credit application files. Analyze and prepare credit facility application files, ensuring adherence to negotiated pricing conditions within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Financial Analysis: Collect and analyze financial statements and other documentation from customers or prospects. Verify the consistency of requested facilities against actual client needs.
Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain dashboards tracking commercial performance and customer risk. Provide Relationship Managers with performance insights and timely reports on downgraded situations.
Business Development: Identify opportunities to cross-sell various banking products and solutions to meet customer needs. Enrich and update the prospect database to drive growth.
Relationship Support: Shadow the Relationship Manager in portfolio management and ensure client retention through high-quality service delivery.
Risk and Compliance: Update time schedules for customer files, including KYC information, call reports, maturities, security documentation, insurances, and loan installment arrears. Monitor post-drawdown covenants to ensure full compliance.
Customer Service: Address and follow up on customer complaints, ensuring resolution within set SLAs and procedural guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a similar relevant area.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of banking experience, with at least the last 2 years focused on business development and/or credit roles.
Knowledge: Strong credit analysis skills and a comprehensive understanding of SME and Corporate Banking products.
