The Corporate Relationship Manager involves acquiring and managing corporate clients by building trusted relationships, advising on financial needs, recommending suitable banking solutions, ensuring compliance while onboarding clients in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures, providing ongoing account servicing, and identifying opportunities to expand banking services while handling administrative support for client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding: Handle the on-boarding of clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Business Development: Drive growth by increasing earnings for corporate banking, increasing facility uptake, and maximizing utilization of bank products through cross-selling.
Financial Advisory: Advise clients on their personal financial needs and objectives by conducting thorough analysis.
Relationship Management: Manage client relations focusing on growth and retention while resolving customer complaints quickly and effectively.
Data Collection: Collect vital data relevant to the Bank’s account opening requirements from new customers.
Credit Management: Draft corporate credit proposals and make recommendations to the credit committee; follow up on credit proposals, letters of offer, excess requests, and securities with the Credit department.
Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor relationships and attend to all queries relating to relationship accounts.
Asset and Liability Maintenance: Maintain quality corporate asset and liability books by ensuring timely collection on arrears and excesses.
Strategic Initiatives: Actively support deposit mobilization initiatives and contribute to various initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Over 8 years of experience in banking and business management.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration / Management).
Advantageous Qualifications: A Master’s Degree or leadership/management training will be an added advantage.
