The Corporate Relationship Manager role involves acquiring and managing corporate clients by building trusted relationships, advising on financial needs, and recommending suitable banking solutions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance while onboarding clients in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures, provide ongoing account servicing, and identify opportunities to expand banking services while handling administrative support for client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding: Onboard clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Business Development: Increase earnings for corporate banking, facility uptake, and utilization of bank products through strategic cross-selling.
Financial Advisory: Advise clients on their personal financial needs and objectives by analyzing their requirements.
Relationship Management: Manage client relations in terms of growth and retention.
Complaint Resolution: Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively.
Data Collection: Collect vital data relevant to the Bank’s account opening requirements from new customers.
Credit Proposals: Draft corporate credit proposals and make recommendations to the credit committee.
Internal Coordination: Follow up on credit proposals, letters of offer, excess requests, notification of excesses, and securities with the Credit department.
Account Servicing: Monitor relationships and attend to all queries relating to relationship accounts.
Strategic Support: Contribute to various initiatives and tasks as assigned by the senior management team.
Asset Quality: Maintain quality corporate asset and liability books by ensuring timely collection on arrears and excesses.
Deposit Mobilization: Actively support deposit mobilization initiatives.
Candidate Specifications
Experience: Over 8 years in banking and business management. Leadership or management training will be an advantage.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field from a recognized university (Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration / Management).
Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
