Job Description
Frank Management Consult Ltd is an international management consulting agency seeking a Corporate Communications Officer. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a corporate communications strategy aligned with business goals and brand positioning, while managing corporate messaging, narrative, and reputation across various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development: Develop and implement a corporate communications strategy aligned with business goals and brand positioning.
Messaging & Reputation: Define and manage corporate messaging, narrative, and reputation across stakeholders.
Media Relations: Build and manage relationships with media; handle press releases, interviews, and inquiries. Establish protocols for media engagement.
Crisis Management: Serve as spokesperson and lead crisis and reputation management efforts, including developing response frameworks.
Executive Support: Support executives with speeches, thought leadership, public positioning, and social media presence.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with government, regulators, industry bodies, and community stakeholders; lead CSR communications and partnerships.
Internal Communications: Oversee internal channels (emails, intranet, town halls) to inform, align, and engage employees.
Event Management: Plan and execute corporate events ensuring strong brand representation.
Content Creation: Oversee the development of corporate content including reports, profiles, presentations, and multimedia materials.
Monitoring & Analytics: Monitor media coverage and stakeholder sentiment; track performance using KPIs and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations. At least 3-5 years must be in a senior or specialist capacity, preferably in retail, FMCG, or large-scale corporate environments.
Certification: Professional certification from PRSK, CIPR, or an equivalent international body is mandatory.
Knowledge: Understanding of the East African media landscape, regulatory environment, and stakeholder dynamics.
Crisis Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing corporate crises and sensitive issues with successful outcomes.
