Role Overview
The County Government of Kitui is seeking to recruit 30 qualified individuals for the position of Cook. The primary objective of this role is to manage meal preparation and service within county facilities, ensuring that all dietary needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Duties and Responsibilities
Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare meals according to specific dietary guidelines and the needs of patients or residents.
Hygiene and Safety: Ensure all food is cooked and handled hygienically, strictly following health and sanitation standards.
Menu Compliance: Follow specific menus designed by nutritionists or dieticians to ensure balanced nutrition.
Service Delivery: Serve meals punctually and ensure that correct portion sizes are maintained for every individual.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
Hold a Certificate or Diploma in food production, catering, hospitality management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Must possess basic food handling and hygiene certification.
