Job Description
Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. This consultancy role is dedicated to supporting IOM’s Shelter, settlement and NFI programming through rigorous monitoring, reporting, and information management.
Role Overview
The Consultant will ensure evidence-based, high-quality programme delivery by managing datasets, conducting field monitoring, and producing comprehensive reports. The position involves the management of Information Management (IM) tools and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to track implementation and document results.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation: Conduct field monitoring, verify activity data, perform Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and construction checks, and maintain updated datasets and dashboards.
Reporting: Compile weekly, monthly, and donor reports; draft narrative inputs, document lessons learned, and produce visibility content while maintaining a clean digital archive.
Information Management: Manage IM tools including Kobo, 4Ws, trackers, and GIS. Ensure data accuracy, integrate cross-cutting themes, and produce analytical summaries.
Coordination: Coordinate data and reporting with internal units, participate in clusters/TWIGs, and support data submissions to sector platforms and donors.
Implementation Support: Track implementation progress, verify distributions and materials, maintain beneficiary and construction records, and organize assessments or trainings as required.
Programme Management Support: Assist the Programme Coordinator in identifying good practices, documenting beneficiary stories, and monitoring project result frameworks and budget expenditures.
Administrative Duties: Provide administrative support for programme management and undertake duty travel relating to project activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Management (IM), Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Data Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least four (4) years of relevant professional experience; OR
Diploma in the above-mentioned fields with at least six (6) years of intensive professional experience.
Experience: Proven professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, reporting, or Information Management functions, preferably within a humanitarian context.
Skills: Proficiency in IM tools (Kobo Toolbox, GIS, 4Ws), data analysis, and technical reporting.
