The Concurrent Servicing Supervisor / Vent Monitor is responsible for overseeing and monitoring concurrent aircraft servicing operations in accordance with U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, and aviation safety standards. Responsibilities include supervising fueling and servicing activities conducted simultaneously with other aircraft maintenance or cargo operations to ensure strict compliance with safety protocols.
The Vent Monitor ensures proper ventilation is maintained during fueling operations, monitors vapor levels, and verifies that all safety equipment and grounding procedures are in place. This role includes maintaining continuous observation of servicing areas, identifying unsafe conditions, and immediately halting operations when safety risks are identified.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising fueling and servicing activities conducted simultaneously with other aircraft maintenance or cargo operations.
Ensuring proper ventilation is maintained during fueling operations and monitoring vapor levels.
Verifying all safety equipment and grounding procedures are properly deployed and functioning.
Maintaining continuous observation of servicing areas and identifying unsafe conditions.
Halting operations immediately when safety risks or hazards are identified.
Coordinating with fuel handlers, aircrew, maintenance personnel, and operations leadership.
Documenting concurrent servicing activities and enforcing strict safety standards.
Providing on-the-job guidance to assigned personnel to maintain safe, mission-critical aviation operations in remote, high-risk environments.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (BA/BSc/HND preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft servicing, aviation operations, fuel operations, or safety monitoring.
Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of concurrent servicing procedures, aviation safety standards, and fuel handling operations.
Key Capabilities: Ability to monitor operations continuously, respond quickly to hazardous conditions, and strong communication skills to enforce safety requirements.
Travel & Credentials: Must possess a valid passport (valid for at least one year beyond hire date) and be able to travel internationally. Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain deployment eligibility. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience serving as a Concurrent Servicing Supervisor or Vent Monitor.
Experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
Familiarity with Navy or DoD aviation fueling and ground safety regulations.
Prior supervisory or lead experience in aviation operations.
Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
Valid country driver’s license.
Ability to obtain country-specific visa(s) in accordance with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
