Community Oral Health Officer (COHO) - 2 Posts

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver preventive, promotive, and basic curative oral health services.
• Perform basic dental procedures including examinations, extractions, prophylaxis, and fluoride application.
• Organize and conduct community outreach programs, school dental health programs, and mobile dental clinics.
• Provide oral health education and lead community mobilization efforts for disease prevention.
• Maintain high standards of dental hygiene and infection prevention and control.
• Manage patient records and data using Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
• Stay updated with industry advancements through continuous professional development.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
• Registration with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
• Minimum of two (2) years’ post-internship experience.
• Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
• Experience in community outreach programs or mobile dental clinics is an added advantage.
