Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) is offering an internship opportunity for a Communication Officer. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in corporate communications and brand management within Kenya's leading electric power generating company.
Role Overview
The intern will assist the communications department in executing strategies that maintain and enhance the company's corporate image and facilitate clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Brand Management: Support the establishment, promotion, and management of the company brand.
Corporate Events: Assist in the organization and coordination of corporate events.
Internal Communication: Coordinate internal company communication channels, including the intranet, newsletters, and other internal publications.
External Communication: Assist in managing external communication through the company website, social media accounts, and external publications.
Media Relations: Provide support in managing media relations and responding to media inquiries.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Mobility: Must be prepared to serve in any of the company's business areas across Kenya.
