Role Overview
MGM Muthu Hotels is expanding its presence in Kenya following the recent acquisition of premier hotel properties. We are seeking dedicated and passionate Commis Chefs to join our culinary team in Nairobi, specifically for our Hot Kitchen and Pastry sections. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering a luxury and unique experience for travelers seeking wildlife and adventure in the heart of Kenya.
Responsibilities
Support the kitchen team in the daily preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes in the Hot Kitchen or Pastry section.
Assist senior chefs with mise-en-place and ensuring that all ingredients are prepared for service.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety within the kitchen environment.
Follow standard recipes to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Collaborate effectively with the culinary team to ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements
Education: Must hold a BA, BSc, or HND qualification in a relevant field.
Skills: Basic knowledge of culinary arts, food safety, and kitchen operations.
Personal Attributes: A passion for professional cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
