Job Description
The Luke Hotel is a luxury hotel in Nairobi and a gracious host to prominent world leaders, renowned authors, and international celebrities. The hotel retains much of its historical charm while at the same time offering all the luxuries and amenities of a five-star hotel. We are looking for professional Club Supervisors to join our team and oversee daily club operations to create Nairobi's best hospitality experience.
Role Overview
The Club Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including setting up, monitoring, and closing down the club. This role requires a balance of operational management, staff leadership, and financial acumen to drive profitability and ensure high standards of service for VIP guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including setting up, monitoring, and closing down the club.
Financial Reporting: Manage cash flows and prepare daily financial reports.
Business Strategy: Develop strategies for marketing to drive revenue and club growth.
Staff Supervision: Manage staff scheduling, performance monitoring, recruitment, training, and motivation to ensure professional service delivery.
Guest Experience: Handle VIP guests to ensure high-quality experiences and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and stock controls for food and drinks; initiate procurement requests.
Departmental Coordination: Facilitate coordination across all departments, including promotions, security, service, production, and entertainment.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Standard Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, ambience, and overall setup standards of the club.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: O level with a mean grade of C.
Professional Certification: At least an advanced certificate in Food and Beverage Operations from a recognized hospitality training institution.
Preferred Education: A Diploma or Degree is a definite advantage.
Experience: 5 years of experience in a similar position or as a manager at a busy high-end club.
Computer Literacy: Conversant with Point of Sale (POS) and materials control systems.
Required Skills and Competencies
Leadership: A natural and strong leader with team management and interpersonal skills.
Financial Acumen: Good financial management insights and budgeting skills with a profitability-driven mentality.
Technical Knowledge: Deep comprehension of food and drinks management, operations, and nightlife; well-versed in service supervision techniques.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
