Job Description
The Narok County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Clinical Officer. This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. Successful candidates will work under the guidance of a senior officer to provide clinical services in health facilities within the county.
Responsibilities
Taking detailed patient histories, performing physical examinations, and diagnosing common ailments.
Treating patients for common conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Providing guidance and counseling to patients, clients, and staff on various health issues.
Referring patients and clients to appropriate higher-level health facilities when necessary.
Assessing, preparing, and presenting medico-legal reports.
Performing surgical procedures as per training and proficiency level.
Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings.
Collecting and compiling data for research related to clinical service issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
A valid Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
A valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council.
Proficiency in computer application skills (this will be considered an added advantage).
