Job Description
Equity Afia is seeking a Clinical Officer responsible for providing comprehensive patient care. This includes diagnosing and treating patients, providing preventive care, and managing common medical and surgical conditions. The incumbent will also participate in public health initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat medical conditions in patients.
Provide preventive healthcare services and patient education.
Manage common medical and surgical conditions.
Participate in public health initiatives within the community.
Ensure strict compliance with medical, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Manage non-communicable diseases (NCDs) effectively within a busy health facility setting.
Academic Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
Registration with the Clinical Officers Council.
Possession of a valid and current practicing license.
Minimum of one (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
At least one (1) year of work experience in a busy health facility.
Specialized knowledge in the management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Valid certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
