Job Description
Equity Afia is a group of qualified and experienced doctors who have come together as a network of medical entrepreneurs with the aim of providing high quality, affordable and accessible healthcare to the majority of Kenyans.
The Clinical Officer is responsible for providing patient care by diagnosing and treating patients, providing preventive care, and managing common medical and surgical conditions, participating in public health initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat various patient ailments.
Provide preventive care and manage common medical and surgical conditions.
Participate in public health initiatives.
Ensure compliance with medical regulatory and ethical standards.
Collaborate with the medical team for effective patient interaction.
Perform data entry, analysis, and report generation for patient records.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing workload.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Qualification: Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
Registration: Must be registered with the Clinical Officers Council and possess a valid practicing license.
Experience:
At least One (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
Over one (1) year working experience ideally in a busy health facility.
Knowledge: Specific knowledge of non-communicable diseases (NCD) management is key.
Certifications: Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Ability to work under pressure and display resilience, compassion, and diplomacy.
Good analytical skills and self-initiative.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Proficient computer skills for medical data management.
