The Clinical Instructor at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB) is responsible for delivering quality education and clinical training to students within the Department of Clinical Medicine. The successful candidate will prepare learning materials, assess academic performance, and facilitate practical training using modern educational methodologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach diploma courses within the Department of Clinical Medicine and other programmes where relevant.
Develop teaching materials for blended learning.
Promote the mission and vision of the Department and the University.
Participate in the preparation of departmental plans and academic documents.
Provide professional and practical clinical training to students.
Attend and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Participate in departmental meetings and other School activities.
Set, moderate, administer, and mark examinations and assignments, and submit semester grades as stipulated by the University.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the University Administration.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
A minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
A valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya.
Clinical experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methods, including the use of technology and simulation tools in clinical education.
