Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nairobi City County responsible for providing and managing water and sewerage services in Nairobi. We are seeking four (4) Civil Engineering Officers to join our team. Under the supervision of the Engineering Coordinator, the Civil Engineering Officer will be responsible for the planning, design, construction, and supervision of civil engineering projects. The role also involves overseeing the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out engineering planning, design, and supervision of water and sewerage extensions, upgrades, and associated works under supervision.
Collect and analyze field data for new and rehabilitation projects.
Supervise civil engineering construction works to ensure quality and compliance.
Prepare tender documents for scheduled construction works.
Coordinate and supervise the activities of Technicians, Operators, and Draughtsmen.
Oversee technical operations and maintenance of both sewer and water reticulation systems.
Monitor and evaluate technical works to maintain systems at their optimal operational efficiency.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized learning institution.
Professional Qualifications
Must be registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
Experience
Proven two (2) years of experience in planning, design, tender documentation, and supervision of civil engineering works in a busy professional environment.
