As the Chief of Staff, you will provide critical strategic and operational support to the Group CEO. This high-impact role involves tracking strategic delivery, managing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring operational excellence across the Group. You will bridge the gap between executive vision and operational execution, overseeing special projects and business performance across various subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support
- Strategic Delivery: Tracking and reporting progress on strategic initiatives with clear timelines and outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong relationships internally and externally, ensuring positive feedback on interactions and deliverables.
- Operational Excellence: Timely and accurate preparation of board papers, communication materials, and strategic reports.
- Project Management: Monitoring and tracking progress on the implementation of strategic initiatives and projects across the Centum Group to ensure milestone delivery.
Business Performance
- Track the performance of business units and subsidiaries against strategic objectives, providing timely reports and recommendations to the Group CEO.
- Identifying trends and recommending innovative strategies aligned with Centum’s vision.
- Leading special projects to drive innovation and unlock new opportunities in line with Centum’s strategy.
Cultural and Cross-functional Leadership
- Facilitating alignment across departments to deliver on strategic goals.
- Influencing without direct authority while ensuring accountability for outcomes.
- Embedding Centum’s culture and values in daily operations, acting as a role model for integrity and professionalism.
Board Engagement
- Development of key documents relating to business strategy and performance.
- Liaising with the Company Secretariat to ensure timely delivery of quality Board papers to the Group CEO and subsequent circulation to the Board.
Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
- Pro-actively engage with the investment community and communicate Centum’s financial and strategic objectives.
- Mapping and engaging key stakeholders to ensure accurate information flow.
- Representation of the Group CEO in select external engagements.
- Coordination of corporate communications and thought leadership for Centum Investment Company Plc. (CICP) and the Group CEO.
- Building relationships with investors through roadshows, social media, and high-level engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Qualification: CPA, CFA, or ACCA.
- 7 – 10 years’ work experience in Finance, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Investment, or senior-level Project Management environments.
- Regional or global experience with a track record of collaborating with cross-cultural teams is preferred.
- Experience in Investment, Real Estate, Financial Services, or high-growth sectors is an added advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, project management, and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/project management systems.
