Oasis Healthcare Group is a company that runs a chain of facilities which aim to provide a 3-tier referral system to enable clients to benefit from quality healthcare and be seen by all appropriate healthcare cadres. We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Chief Nursing Officer to provide strategic leadership within our Busia facility.
Overall Responsibility
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and ensuring quality nursing care, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance management within the Nursing Division.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead clinical nurse and Director of Nursing Services, overseeing all nursing operations.
Ensure adherence to nursing policies, standards, and best practices in patient care.
Organize, direct, and administer nursing services to meet required medical and nursing standards.
Collaborate with administration, HR, and finance in budgeting for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
Manage cost controls to ensure effective utilization of departmental budgets.
Oversee staff selection, work assignments, performance appraisals, and professional development.
Lead quality assessment and performance improvement, and communicate key nursing issues to administration.
Recommend facility and equipment improvements and ensure that nurses have reasonable working conditions.
Maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and the community while supporting educational initiatives.
Participate in policymaking, administrative meetings, audits, and handling patient complaints.
Perform any other duty as may be assigned.
Job Requirements & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
BLS/ACLS Certification.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong management and supervisory skills.
Good understanding of the Kenyan healthcare system.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Certificate in Quality Improvement (added advantage).
