The Chief Nursing Officer provides strategic leadership for all nursing services, ensuring high standards of patient care, nursing practice, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role oversees nursing operations, quality assurance, and professional development of nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing services and clinical operations.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with nursing standards, internal policies, and national healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Staff Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff to maintain a high standard of professional development.
- Budgeting: Support and manage the budgeting process for nursing staff, clinical equipment, and medical supplies.
- Safety & Excellence: Lead initiatives that promote patient safety and service excellence throughout the facility.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BScN).
- Certifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Additional Advantage: Certification in Quality Improvement is considered a significant plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar leadership or management role within a nursing context.
