
National Research Fund
The National Research Fund (NRF) is established under the Science Technology and Innovation (ST&I) Act of 2013, Section 32. The Fund became operational on 9th November 2015. The object of the Fund is to facilitate research for the advancement of science, technology and innovation.
The Chairperson of the Board of Trustees will be responsible for leading the board in fulfilling the object of the Fund, which is to facilitate research for the advancement of science, technology, and innovation. This involves strategic leadership, resource mobilization, and oversight of the Fund's operations and investments.
A person shall be qualified for appointment as a Chairperson if such a person:

By Hand Delivery: Delivered to NRF Offices, 3rd floor, NACOSTI Plaza between 8.00a.m. and 5.00p.m. on working days.
By Email: The scanned and signed application should be emailed to: selectionpanel@nrf.go.ke.
Note: The envelopes enclosing applications should be clearly marked "APPLICATION FOR CHAIRPERSON OF THE NATIONAL RESEARCH FUND". All applications should reach the National Research Fund on or before 10th March 2026 by 5.00 p.m. (East African Time).
