China Mobile International Limited (CMI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Mobile Limited, mainly responsible for the operation of China Mobile’s international business. CMI is seeking a Carrier Sales Manager to be responsible for Mobility products and services selling functions to carrier clients, achieving revenue targets, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Manage relationships with carrier clients, acquire RFP invites, present feasible and competitive solutions, and handle the bidding process until deals are sealed.
Market Analysis: Understand internal network capabilities and resale opportunities within the wholesale Telecom market.
Service Scope: Cover business areas including capacity, IP-VPN, Internet, Colocation, Mobile (excluding voice trading), IPX, devices, and A2P within the Southern Africa region.
Business Development: Explore new business opportunities and forge relationships with target clients through networking and presentations of CMI’s services.
Coordination: Act as the primary contact point for carrier partners/clients, interfacing and organizing all commercial issues requested by or to partners/clients.
Pricing & Contracts: Carry out daily pricing tasks for each carrier client and manage contracts with carrier partners/clients.
Travel: Travel periodically to meet clients and prospects in East Africa and represent CMI at industry conferences.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above.
Minimum 7 years of sales experience in the telecom industry.
At least 3 years of hands-on sales experience specifically in the wholesale telecom market.
Responsible, hardworking, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
