Established 12 years ago, PrideInn Hotels, Resorts & Camp stands as a prominent and rapidly growing hospitality brand that takes great pride in its Kenyan roots. We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter to join our Engineering team in Nairobi.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general carpentry maintenance and the repair of all woodwork and furniture in the hotel, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and aesthetic appeal.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry Maintenance: Perform all general carpentry maintenance and the repair of all woodwork and furniture in the hotel.
Artisan Support: Assist other artisans with all other maintenance and repairs where required.
Safety & Standards: Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and occupational safety. Control the loss, abuse, and breakage of operating equipment, ensuring all tools are handled and stored correctly.
Facility Knowledge: Develop a thorough knowledge of all facilities, equipment, plumbing installations, and water distribution of the hotel.
Emergency Response: Act as a member of the Company Fire Fighting team and remain fully aware of emergency procedures.
Operations & General Duties: Keep the workshop clean and tidy at all times. Respond to all maintenance calls from other departments and assist contractors when required.
Professionalism: Maintain high standards of appearance, integrity, punctuality, and grooming in accordance with company policy.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND or equivalent technical certificate/diploma in Carpentry and Joinery.
Skills: Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, woodwork, furniture repair, and occupational safety standards.
Attributes: High integrity, exceptional grooming standards, reliability, and willingness to work overtime when requested by management.
