Role Overview
Excelon Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Cambridge Curriculum Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum and syllabus requirements.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with learning objectives.
- Employ learner-centered teaching methodologies to promote active learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of learners.
- Integrate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and independent learning.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Design, administer, and mark assignments, quizzes, projects, practical assessments, and examinations.
- Prepare learners for Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level examinations where applicable.
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Analyze assessment results and implement strategies to improve learner performance.
- Provide constructive feedback to learners and parents.
Classroom and Learner Management
- Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
- Monitor learner attendance and address behavioral concerns promptly.
- Promote safeguarding, welfare, and well-being of learners.
- Foster respect, diversity, and global citizenship among students.
Curriculum Development
- Participate in curriculum planning, review, and development activities.
- Ensure compliance with Cambridge International standards and school academic policies.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes, examination requirements, and teaching best practices.
Co-curricular Activities
- Organize and participate in clubs, sports, competitions, educational trips, and enrichment activities.
- Mentor and guide learners in academic and personal development.
- Support talent development and leadership initiatives.
Parent and Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate learner progress and concerns to parents and guardians.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support learner achievement.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate academic and administrative records.
- Prepare reports, examination analyses, and documentation as required.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
- Participate in school improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject area from a recognized institution.
- Teaching qualification (PGDE, B.Ed., or equivalent where applicable).
- Experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Cambridge Assessment International Education standards and requirements.
- Proficiency in ICT and digital learning platforms.
- Registration with relevant professional teaching bodies where applicable.
