Job Description
The National Youth Service (NYS) is seeking to recruit 23 Cadet Officers for the position of Registered Community Health Nurse. This recruitment is part of a premier agency through which the Government executes an elaborate youth empowerment master plan. The successful candidates will be offered permanent and pensionable terms and will serve under the existing NYS Salary Scale. Candidates must be prepared to undergo a mandatory nine-month paramilitary training program at the NYS Training College.
General Requirements
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum KCSE grade of C+ (plus), or a Diploma with a minimum KCSE grade of C- (Minus).
Be in possession of a valid Kenyan National Identity Card (ID) and KRA PIN Certificate.
Be between 18 – 28 years of age.
Have no criminal record.
Must be medically fit.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Meet the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Must have a Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse from a recognized institution.
Must have a Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Must have a valid Practicing License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: As existing in the NYS Salary Scale.
Medical Cover: SHA Scheme of Civil Servants.
Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable.
