Job Description
The National Youth Service (NYS) is seeking to recruit 10 Registered Clinical Officers to serve as Cadet Officers. This is a premier opportunity for healthcare professionals to join a vital national agency focused on youth empowerment. The role offers a career path within the service, combining professional clinical practice with paramilitary leadership and discipline. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing medical care within NYS facilities and must be prepared to undergo mandatory paramilitary training as part of their induction.

General Requirements
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Must possess a valid Kenyan National Identity Card (ID) and KRA PIN Certificate.
Be between 18 and 28 years of age.
Have no criminal record.
Candidates must be medically fit.
Successful candidates MUST undergo NYS Paramilitary training for nine (9) months at NYS Training College.
Must possess a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Meet the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications
Must have a minimum KCSE grade of C+ (plus) for Cadet entry level.
Be in possession of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution (minimum KCSE grade C- minus for Diploma holders).
Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
Valid professional Practice License from the Clinical Officers Council.
