Job Description
To deliver a wide range of business support processes and activities for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Report Compilation: Collate information for inclusion in reports, documents, and correspondence to support the effective work of other staff.
Query Resolution: Respond to standard queries and provide timely and accurate guidance.
Administration & Finance: Process and manage routine administrative and financial tasks in various functional areas to contribute to the effective and timely management of resources.
Records Management: Manage and maintain records and databases to ensure information is organized and readily available for staff.
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain relationships with a range of individuals through provision of business support to assist in information sharing and service delivery to staff.
Quality Assurance: Proofread reports, documentation, correspondence, etc., making changes in line with established guidelines where appropriate.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of business procedures and processes.
Data Analysis: Collect and perform basic analysis of data to contribute to quality business information management.
Team Guidance: Provide guidance to junior colleagues in performing their duties.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
Experience: At least five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative or business support experience. Experience working with international organizations or UN agencies is an asset.
Core Knowledge and Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Great attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
