Job Description
Role Overview
The role holder is responsible for making use of tools to analyse data and report on business operations. You will be required to engage with business teams regularly to identify and document requirements on opportunities for automation through better use of data and analytics. The role holder will also be required to use low-code analytics tools to create quick solutions centred around organisational data and deliver self-service solutions for business users.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables/Outcomes
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage business stakeholders to understand business requirements, create and validate use cases, user stories, and wireframes.
Project Participation: Participate in business initiatives to provide insights on opportunities for automation and enhanced data use.
Project Planning: Prepare project plans to support analytics and automation projects.
Project Management: Manage business intelligence projects using Agile to deliver value to stakeholders.
Tool Maintenance: Create, maintain, and use low-code data tools to respond to business ad-hoc data requests.
Support: Assess, respond, and log cases assigned by the data Helpdesk.
Reporting: Design and refine reports and dashboards to solve business use cases using bank-approved low-code solutions.
Development: Develop data collection tools using PowerApps, SharePoint, and other development platforms to standardize ingestion of data.
Collaboration: Work with Developers to create and maintain complex analytics solutions by providing clear business requirements and rallying stakeholders for testing.
Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation/manuals on reports, dashboards, and portals.
Training: Carry out regular user training to enable users to extract insights from data solutions. Train business power users on basic data visualization and data literacy.
Research: Undertake research and development to improve operations and existing solutions.
Governance: Identify and escalate data quality issues to the governance team for action.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: A mandatory Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of technical experience, preferably within a complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a focus on the financial sector.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Great interpersonal skills and ability to work remotely.
Knowledge of technology project management tools such as JIRA, Planner, Azure DevOps.
