The Business Development Officer (PSI) is a Senior Officer role primarily responsible for driving business growth through strategic bid management, business performance analysis, and high-level stakeholder coordination. This position acts as a critical link between IT and other departments, ensuring that technical solutions for government-related integrations are aligned with business requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing materials for executive committees such as ALCO, EXCO, and the Board.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Management
- Manage the end-to-end process of bids including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and EOIs for Banking and Insurance Services targeting government entities.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information and resources for bid responses.
- Develop compelling and comprehensive bid proposals and ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain a repository of bid documents, templates, and case studies for future reference.
Pitch Deck Development
- Create visually appealing and persuasive pitch deck slides to support business development activities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to tailor pitch decks according to client requirements and preferences.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all presentations.
Business Performance Analysis
- Conduct thorough data mapping and segmentation to identify key business insights and opportunities.
- Analyze business performance metrics and trends to provide actionable recommendations for revenue growth and optimization.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing performance analysis findings for stakeholders.
Liaison and Technical Integration
- Serve as a bridge between the IT department and other business units to facilitate seamless communication.
- Work closely with IT teams to understand technical requirements and constraints for solution development.
- Facilitate technical solutions for government-related integration by developing Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Scope Documents (FSD).
- Monitor the performance and functionality of integrated systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Executive Presentations
- Prepare high-quality executive presentations for ALCO (Asset and Liability Management Committee), EXCO (Executive Committee), and Board meetings.
- Gather relevant data and insights to support decision-making processes and strategic discussions.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all executive-level communication.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in bid management, business performance analysis, and executive presentations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data mapping, segmentation, and performance metrics analysis.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with IT teams and a solid understanding of technical solutions and integrations.
- Familiarity with government-related regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- High attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
