Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and creating proposals for potential customers. The role also involves conducting financial analyses, evaluating loan applications, ensuring excellent customer service, and delivering effective communication to enhance the client experience. The Business Development Officer will work closely with the team to meet and exceed business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the loan portfolio.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
Create and present professional proposals to potential customers.
Conduct financial analyses and interpret data to evaluate loan applications.
Ensure high standards of customer service and effective communication with clients.
Work collaboratively with the team to achieve individual and group business targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience in banking, lending, or financial services is considered an advantage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM tools.
Core Competencies: Expertise in New Business Development and identifying market opportunities.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to perform financial evaluation and interpretation.
