About the Role
Juhudi Kilimo aims to improve the livelihoods of rural smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs by providing wealth-creating financial solutions. To support this mission, we are looking for a Business Development Officer to implement business development strategies that drive loan portfolio growth and maintain quality by marketing the organization’s products and services.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Implementation: Implement the Business Development strategy and plans for the assigned portfolio and targets while ensuring adherence to policies and processes.
Risk Management: Manage risks to achieve a quality portfolio in line with set targets through client training, loan appraisal, portfolio management, loan repayment, and follow-up.
Deposit Allocation: Ensure that all deposits have been apportioned as per customers' payments within the stipulated time.
Market Analysis: Carry out market analysis for the assigned area to identify potential customers.
Marketing & Outreach: Create awareness through marketing activities, including promotion and outreach programs, to generate leads and conversions.
Client Management: Conduct customer screening, recruitment, training, and evaluation in the targeted markets.
Credit Processing: Carry out loan appraisal, assessment, and loan processing in line with the credit policy.
Relationship Building: Ensure service delivery through regular group/customer visits, quick turnaround, gathering customer feedback, and establishing repayment plans to sustain relationships and customer satisfaction.
Reporting: Prepare daily group status reports and share them with the branch team to maintain branch health and sustainability.
Innovation: Identify and recommend best practices for innovation to ensure new and improved processes, products, and services.
Change Initiatives: Implement service quality, customer excellence, and change initiatives to achieve required business performance and culture.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Qualification: Diploma in a business-related field.
Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience.
