Role Overview\nAt Reckitt Benckiser, we are looking for a Business Development Manager for the Horn of Africa to drive growth and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met within the assigned territory. You will be familiar with our global brands including Scholl, Nurofen, Strepsils, Durex, Gaviscon, Dettol, Lysol, Finish, and Vanish. This role involves close collaboration with distributors and the Reckitt HQ team to deliver on expectations and innovations.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Ensure key performance indicators such as Sales, shipments, ECOs, and MSL are met in the assigned territory.\n* Collaborate with distributors (DB) and the Reckitt HQ team to deliver business expectations and innovations.\n* Evaluate service rendered, coverage, and distributor/super-stockist performance at regular intervals, taking corrective actions to ensure business health.\n* Constantly monitor distributor stock, sales, and trade receivables, ensuring the business remains financially sound.\n* Identify and develop new business opportunities through rigorous data analysis and extensive field visits.\n* Plan and implement systematic area coverage, modifying plans as necessary to ensure efficiency.\n* Monitor and report on competitive activities in the region in line with company policies.\n* Provide accurate brand-wise and SKU-wise sales forecasts month-on-month to maintain optimum stock levels at distributor locations.\n* Train distributor sales teams on sales fundamentals and requisite selling skills.\n* Ensure the veracity of all data shared by distributors and verify claims according to company policies.\n* Develop growth strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.\n* Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.\n* Work with the business head, supply chain, and distributor teams to create simple and efficient processes for ordering, shipments, and sales.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n* Minimum of a BSc. or HND in a relevant field.\n* Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role.\n* Good overall understanding of sales and distribution cycles.\n* Relevant experience in FMCG, preferably in international markets.\n* A proven track record of building business in new territories.\n* Familiarity with the geography and trade dynamics of the Horn of Africa region.\n* Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.\n* Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English.\n* An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and autonomously as the sole Reckitt representative in the country.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online via the Reckitt careers portal by visiting to be redirected to the official application page.
