The Business Analyst at Co-operative Bank of Kenya will work closely with Business Units to evaluate business problems and proposed solutions, ensuring that technology-enabled solutions align with organizational needs and overall strategic objectives. The role encompasses requirements elicitation, analysis, stakeholder relationship management, process modeling, and active support in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Business Units to examine business problems/needs and proposed business solutions, ensuring the best solution is implemented.
Perform detailed analysis of proposed solutions, assessing their risks and feasibility within the organization.
Lead Requirements Elicitation, Business Requirements Analysis, Business Solution Assessment and Validation, Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring, Requirements Management and Communication, Stakeholder Analysis, Business Rules Analysis, Data Analysis, and Business Modeling.
Support project delivery by undertaking solution procurement, scope planning, and business analysis activities for IT projects, monitoring progress, coordinating with Internal Project Managers, and reporting changes, risks, and issues to the Project Steering Committee.
Maintain deep awareness of business and technology operations to help stakeholders explore technology-enabled solutions to support their roles effectively.
Lead stakeholder relationship management: develop and maintain communication channels/stakeholder groups as a single point of contact. Facilitate business involvement and ownership of new requirements, user stories, and use cases.
Analyze business processes, identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches to support business change programs.
Assist business users in identifying business problems, needs, and functions, understanding stakeholder concerns, and contributing business input for developing business cases.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business-related fields from a recognized university.
Professional Qualification in Business Analysis, Project Management, or Change Management (CBAP/CCBA, CBPP, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, Prince2, PMP, Prosci Change Practitioner, or ITSM is a plus).
At least 5 years overall experience in a dynamic business environment, encompassing at least 3 years' professional experience in Business Analysis & Project Management.
Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex information with accuracy and attention to detail.
