Role Overview
British American Tobacco (BAT) is seeking a Business Analysis Operations Manager to oversee Information & Digital Technology (IDT) projects within the operations sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that technology projects adhere to industry standards and align with the Group's broader strategic technology goals. The incumbent will be responsible for bridging the gap between IDT service lines and operational functions, managing vendor relationships, and leading technology-related audits to ensure seamless digital transformation within the manufacturing and supply chain environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with IDT functions and service lines to ensure all Operations projects follow standardized company and industry processes.
Transformation Alignment: Align the IDT Operations transformation agenda with the overall Group Technology strategy.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and escalate issues that could impact the execution or transition of strategic, operational, or project plans.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Build robust partnerships with operations stakeholders and serve as the primary escalation point for local and global vendor management regarding IDT Operations and Services.
Contractual Oversight: Provide expert advice to contract owners on technology contracts related to IDT Operations.
Audit & Compliance: Lead audits for IDT Operations and coordinate with Enterprise Technology teams when necessary.
Financial Input: Provide strategic input to the Enterprise Technology team regarding budget decisions that affect operational performance.
Security & Service Management: Serve as the Cyber Security Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Operations and act as the ITSM (IT Service Management) escalation point for rapid issue resolution with global and regional teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience.
General Experience: At least 8 years of experience in business-facing IDT roles.
Domain Expertise: Minimum of 5 years specifically in IT services or factory applications, ideally within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or Manufacturing sector.
Technical Skills: Hands-on proficiency with SAP (Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality modules), MES systems, cloud-native technologies, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Analytics Proficiency: Experience with analytics tools such as SAP BI and Power BI.
Automation Knowledge: Added value from experience with Industry 4.0, ERP integrations, and automation tools like UiPath and Power Platform.
Methodology: Proven track record of delivering complex transformation projects across various vendors and time zones using Agile methodology.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent communication and presentation skills.
