Job Description
Java House is seeking a Branch Supervisor to maintain excellence in restaurant operations. The role focuses on ensuring that all restaurant policies, standards, and specifications are met while fostering a productive working environment and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operations Management: Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines are followed and completed on a timely basis.
Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with health and safety, food preparation and serving, and repair and maintenance standards.
Quality Control: Ensure company objectives in sales, service quality, and facility appearance are met. Conduct regular store audits and food sampling to ensure palatability and flavor conformity.
Financial Oversight: Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies. Maintain the ability to review P&L (Profit and Loss) statements.
Guest Relations: Minimize guest complaints by spending 95% of time on floor coverage. Seeks, listens, and responds to guest feedback and resolves issues regarding food quality or service promptly.
Sales and Service: Take accurate takeaway and delivery orders, ensure prompt billing, and utilize suggestive selling techniques to introduce new products to guests.
Team Supervision: Prevent and resolve personnel problems, supervise food and beverage service staff, and provide training to create a positive, productive working environment.
Hygiene Standards: Maintain high hygiene standards at the cashier station and ensure cutlery is wiped, polished, and well-displayed at respective stations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Must have a degree or diploma in Food & Beverage service or an equivalent from a well-recognized institution.
Experience: Two or more years of front-of-the-house operations experience, or experience as a stand-in manager or Management trainee in the service or food and beverage industry.
Technical Skills: Computer literate in MS Office Suite and proficient in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Professional Skills: Competent knowledge of customer service and people management systems. Ability to review P&L.
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly in English.
Personal Attributes: Result-oriented, self-driven, articulate, proactive, and able to work under pressure. Must possess strong coordination skills and demonstrate good core ethics and values.
Decision Making: Ability to make quick and sound decisions.
