As the Branch Manager for the Moi Avenue branch, you will be responsible for developing and managing the branch portfolio. You will lead the branch team effectively to ensure the achievement of assigned business objectives, including targets for deposits, financing assets, cards, and product sales. The role involves managing profitability and implementing a superior customer service culture while adhering strictly to the bank's policies, guidelines, and Shariah values.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth: Cascade sales targets from the Head of Distribution to branch staff. Identify and implement action plans, tracking performance regularly. Engage with high-net-worth customers to grow the business and manage the product portfolio's profitability.
Customer Service: Maintain high service standards in all front-office functions including Cash Management, Remittances, and Account opening. Foster a customer service culture to reduce waiting times and improve client acquisition.
Service Quality & Operations Control: Manage audit requirements to achieve low-risk ratings. Ensure all operations align with the bank's policies, operating manuals, and service quality standards. Monitor customer complaints and mystery shopping results to implement improvements.
Financial & Risk Management: Maintain low risk regarding cash differences by following established processes and maintaining accurate accounting records. Ensure high-level safety and security measures are in place.
Internal Processes: Lead branch-specific projects such as process changes or new product launches. Maintain accurate archives for transaction records and vouchers. Follow up on cases with internal departments to ensure 100% closing mandates.
Training & Development: Analyze staff development needs and nominate them for appropriate training. Conduct regular meetings to ensure high staff engagement and job satisfaction. Manage staff performance appraisals and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within the banking sector.
Experience in a Sharia-compliant bank is highly desirable.
General banking knowledge and a strong understanding of local/international markets.
Proficiency in computer skills and accounting/financial capability.
