The Branch Manager is responsible for driving sales to meet company revenue targets and harnessing the power of their direct reports. The role involves driving sales force productivity and extracting the best performance from each individual employee at the Kiambu branch. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the branch team meets the sales targets set for Public Service Vehicles (PSV).
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Management: Manage sales budgets and ensure sales targets are met.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal departments such as Underwriting, Legal, and Investigation teams to engage customers more deeply and maintain positive client relations.
Business Knowledge: Possess deep knowledge of business product offerings and value propositions.
Compliance: Follow organizational policies and regulations that affect the branch.
Business Development: Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities.
Customer Solutions: Solve problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales and operational solutions.
Reporting: Ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of sales and marketing reports to management and the Board.
Strategy Formulation: Formulate and implement sales and marketing strategy, including product innovation and development of new products.
Portfolio Growth: Grow the business portfolio, oversee marketing activities, and implement strategies for market expansion.
Market Analysis: Periodically conduct external and internal business analysis to understand and adapt to changing client needs.
Brand Advocacy: Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring Directline brand visibility through the implementation of branding strategies.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
Leadership: Provide leadership to the branch team and align marketing operations with technology for operational efficiency.
Ad-hoc Duties: Perform any other responsibilities as communicated by management.
Person Specifications
Academic Qualifications
Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing from a recognized institution.
Minimum Overall Grade of C+ in KCSE.
Professional Qualifications
Certificate of Insurance (COP).
Certification in Insurance (ACII/AIIK) or any insurance-related qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
At least 5 years’ working experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
Experience in dealing with PSV will be an added advantage.
Underwriting and risk management skills.
