West Kenya Sugar Limited is seeking a Boiler DCS Operator to manage and monitor plant operations. This role involves controlling boilers, turbines, and associated systems via a Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure the facility runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor boilers, turbines, conveyors, and fuel systems using the Distributed Control System (DCS).
Ensure the plant operates safely and at peak efficiency.
Identify operational issues early and perform immediate troubleshooting or escalate as necessary.
Maintain accurate operational logs and provide support to the maintenance teams during inspections or repairs.
Adhere to all safety and industrial standards within the power plant and sugar manufacturing setup.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
2–5 years of professional experience in a power plant, sugar factory, or similar industrial setup.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
Strong hands-on mechanical skills and technical aptitude.
