Job Overview

The Benefit Verifier is responsible for confirming medical coverage and benefits for patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to navigate various healthcare databases and websites. The position involves high-accuracy data management and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and coverage details for healthcare providers.
• Understand and interpret complex medical terminologies and documentation.
• Conduct internet searches and navigate multiple healthcare-related websites and portals.
• Manage and input medical data accurately into internal systems.
• Operate effectively within a BPO environment, meeting quality and efficiency standards.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and other stakeholders to confirm patient eligibility.

Requirements

• Education: College graduate; a paramedical course is preferred but not required. (Preferably Male candidates).
• Experience: Preferably at least 6 months of BPO experience within the healthcare sector. A minimum of 1 year of total work experience is required.
• Certifications: Preferably with AHIMA CCS-P or AAPC CPC Coding certifications (this is a plus but not required) or an equivalent certification.
• Knowledge: Ability to understand and comprehend medical terminologies.
• Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and the ability to conduct internet searches effectively.
• Availability: Flexible to accommodate different shift jobs, including night shifts.
• Location: Must be staying within Kitengela, Athi River, or nearby areas.
