Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness in the machine room.
• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance works on machinery.
• Performing routine checks in line with specialized technical areas.
• Sampling sisal bales for quality analysis.
• Maintaining detailed records of machine repair and maintenance activities.
• Ensuring updated records of all samples received and analyzed are maintained.

Requirements for Appointment

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (Plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

Shortlisted candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 by providing:

• Police Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
• Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
• Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
• Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
• Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
• Clearance from Commission for University Education for degrees obtained outside Kenya (where applicable).
