West Kenya Sugar Limited is seeking a Bagasse Carrier Operator to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery, including boilers and conveyors, ensuring that power systems and fuel supply remain stable throughout the production cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor critical plant machinery including boilers, turbines, conveyors, and fuel systems.
Ensure the plant operates within safety and efficiency standards at all times.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues early, performing minor fixes or escalating complex problems to the maintenance team.
Maintain detailed operational logs and provide hands-on support to maintenance teams during repairs or servicing.
Work effectively within a shift-based system to support 24/7 operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
2–5 years of professional experience in a power plant, sugar factory, or similar industrial setup.
Proven hands-on mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.
