Job Description
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is providing industrial attachment opportunities for students pursuing degrees or diplomas in Statistics. This program aims to provide students with practical work experience and a chance to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world governmental setting, specifically within data-driven departments.
Role Overview
This is a three-month industrial attachment program designed to expose students to the KRA's operations, focusing on statistical analysis, data management, and revenue collection processes. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to support various departmental objectives.
Responsibilities
Assist in data collection and entry for various revenue reports.
Support the cleaning and preparation of datasets for analysis.
Participate in the application of statistical methods to analyze revenue trends.
Assist in generating visualizations and summaries of statistical data.
Support administrative tasks related to data management and research within the department.
Requirements
Be a Kenyan Citizen aged below 35 years.
Be a continuing 1st-degree student (Undergraduate) in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study, OR a Diploma student in their final year from a recognized University/College.
Possess a valid introduction letter from the University/College.
Must be available full-time for the three-month duration of the program.
Additional Information
Stipend: A monthly stipend of KShs. 7,000 will be paid (subject to applicable statutory deductions).
Duration: The program is fixed for three months and cannot be extended.
Documentation: If selected, candidates must submit proof of Personal Accident Insurance Cover, KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card, and Bank Account details.
Integrity: KRA does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process.
