The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is offering an industrial attachment opportunity for Chemistry students. This program is designed to provide students with practical experience in a professional environment, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios. The attachment is for a fixed duration of three (3) months and is intended for continuing undergraduate and diploma students.
Responsibilities
While specific daily duties are integrated into the authority's technical and analytical workflows, typical responsibilities for a Chemistry attachee include:
Assisting in the chemical analysis and testing of samples within KRA laboratories.
Learning and applying laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and documentation of findings.
Supporting the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Observing quality control measures to ensure accurate results.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
Be a Kenyan Citizen aged below 35 years.
Be a continuing 1st-degree student (Undergraduate) in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study, OR a Diploma student in their final year from a recognized University or College.
Possess a valid introduction letter from their University or College.
Be available full-time for the entire three-month duration of the program.
Important Information
Monthly Stipend: KShs. 7,000 (for both undergraduates and diploma students), subject to applicable statutory deductions.
Documentation: Selected candidates will need to provide proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card, and Bank Account details.
Duration: The program is non-extendable.
