Job Description
Jonerics Cargo Forwarders Limited is seeking an Assistant Transport Manager to join our operations in Mombasa. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supervising daily logistics, ensuring efficient cargo movement, and managing a team of drivers to meet delivery timelines and safety standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in planning and supervising daily transport operations and deliveries.
Support scheduling of daily and weekly transport routes for drivers.
Monitor vehicle movement and track shipments using transport tracking systems.
Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper dispatch and delivery of goods.
Monitor transport costs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Ensure transport documentation and delivery records are properly maintained.
Report vehicle maintenance and repair requirements.
Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Support implementation of transport SOPs and operational reporting systems.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in transport, fleet, or logistics operations.
Proficiency in MS Office and transport tracking systems.
Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of transport regulations and safety compliance is an added advantage.
