We are looking for an Assistant Software Development Lead to join our team in Kakamega.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
Support the development and improvement of ERP systems.
Mentor junior developers, allocate tasks, and monitor delivery.
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding, testing, documentation, and security standards.
Resolve system defects, performance issues, and data-integrity risks.
Manage deployments, servers, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
Develop automated unit, feature, and end-to-end tests.
Required Skills
PHP and Laravel 11+
Vue 3, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
MySQL and PostgreSQL
REST APIs and third-party integrations
Linux, Ubuntu, Nginx, PHP-FPM, and Supervisor
Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD
Cypress, Playwright, or Laravel Dusk
Application security, database optimisation, and multi-tenant architecture
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Experience developing or supporting ERP or enterprise systems.
Experience mentoring or supervising junior developers.
Strong understanding of the software-development lifecycle.
Willingness to relocate to and work from Kakamega.
