DIB Bank Kenya Limited (DIBBKE) is a subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC (AE), combining Shariah values with modern banking technology. We are looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager to join our Corporate & Commercial Banking team in Mombasa.
Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to drive revenue growth and achieve profitability targets by understanding customer business needs and providing tailored banking solutions through a consultative selling approach.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation: Ensure product revenue and profitability targets are achieved or exceeded by understanding the customer’s business and anticipating requirements through consultative selling.
Solution Design: Match customer needs with product capabilities through tailored demonstrations and proposals.
Negotiation: Manage the negotiation and renegotiation of terms and conditions with customers to maximize revenue and profitability.
Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and making referrals to other banking lines by developing a deep understanding of client needs.
Cash Management: Provide structured solutions to meet specific cash management requirements for customers and prospects.
Sales Management: Maintain a disciplined product-oriented sales management process, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting on sales activity.
Product Rollout: Assist product management and development in strategic product rollouts.
Market Intelligence: Support customer needs, trends, and product/market intelligence for new product developments/enhancements to strengthen competitive positioning.
Customer Service: Facilitate the resolution of customer service issues and ensure high-quality post-sales service is consistently available to clients.
General Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the team leader.
Job Specification
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of banking experience, with at least three (3) years specifically in business development for the Corporate/Commercial banking segment.
Skills:
Excellent financial acumen and analytical thinking skills.
Strong sales and marketing capabilities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products.
Preferred: Knowledge of Sharia Foundations and principles of Islamic finance is an added advantage.
