
Narok County Public Service Board
This is the entry and training grade for the Assistant Public Health Officer cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer to improve public health standards and community well-being. The role involves mobilizing, sensitizing, and advising communities on environmental health matters, managing immunization programs, and identifying health needs at the community level.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Mobilizing, sensitizing, and advising communities on matters related to environmental health.\n- Referring health cases to relevant health facilities for specialized care.\n- Carrying out immunization programs to prevent disease outbreaks.\n- Identifying environmental health issues at the community level.\n- Organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues.\n- Collecting and maintaining up-to-date records of services rendered.\n- Assessing the health needs of the community to target interventions effectively.\n- Implementing vector, vermin, and rodent control measures.\n- Executing integrated mosquito control strategies.\n\n### Requirements for Appointment\n- Diploma in Environmental Health Science from a recognized institution.\n- Registration Certificate from the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council.\n- A valid practicing license from the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council.\n- Certificate in computer application (will be considered an added advantage).
