Role Information
Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Assistant Public Health Officer III (4 Posts) under Job Group 'H'. The successful candidates will be responsible for implementing various environmental and public health interventions within the county.
Responsibilities and Duties
Executing environmental health inspections in diverse settings to ensure compliance with relevant public health laws and regulations.
Monitoring community water quality and overseeing sanitation standards.
Assisting in the surveillance, reporting, and control of communicable diseases.
Conducting public health education and community sensitization initiatives.
Inspecting food premises and establishments to ensure hygiene and safety standards are upheld.
Offering technical guidance on waste management and vector control measures.
Compiling, maintaining, and submitting comprehensive public health records and reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution.
A valid practicing license issued by the Public Health Officers and Technical Council.
A Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
Adherence to the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID/DCI).
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Candidates must also present original Identification Cards/Passports and original academic/professional certificates and transcripts during the interview process.
