LG is looking for an Assistant Product Manager to monitor tasks involved in marketing, sales and production, PSI management, and supporting the product manager in decision making. The successful candidate will develop strategies to promote products while ensuring the efficiency of implemented product development and marketing strategies.
Principal Responsibilities
Pricing & Promotional Strategy
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports through detailed analysis of company targets and market activity.
- Work closely with the Product Manager to develop pricing models and promotional plans for Key Account Executives to present with the goal to win incremental floor spots and grow market share.
- Act as the main contact for Regional Sales Managers for promotional pricing to target a profitable mix and increase flyer exposure to drive sales volume.
- Analyze sales/market trends to identify misses and strategically target sales goals in an effort to close gaps.
Product Development
- Monitor production, shipping schedules, and logistics.
- Prepare and execute new product launch processes.
- Analyze competition and support merchandising planning; analyze market share and in-store share and identify competitive issues through store visits and market intelligence.
- Correspond with the factory and HQ division on a regular basis to support product and marketing communications for the local team.
- Maintain system data (Product net) to reflect current and accurate product information.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) Events, including industry shows and training events.
- Support the Marketing Team for the production of marketing material, tools, and training modules.
- Provide Supply Chain Management support; analyze PSI (Purchase, Sales, Inventory) by model and address issues.
Performance Management
- Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments.
- Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay messages.
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems; determine and establish office procedures.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person.
- Record and prepare minutes of meetings.
- Compile data, statistics, and other information to support research activities.
- Supervise and train office staff in procedures and software use.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
- At least 3 years of sales, marketing, or product management experience.
- Proven ability to drive projects and manage relationships with internal and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with launching new products and providing direction to sales, supply chain, and marketing teams.
- Bilingualism: Proficiency in both English and Korean is mandatory.
- Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen.
- Strong advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Must be a team player.
