Job Description
The County Government of Kakamega is seeking to recruit an Assistant Polytechnic Instructor III specializing in Agribusiness. This is the entry grade for the County Polytechnic Instructors cadre. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a County Polytechnic Principal to provide technical instruction and training to students.
Responsibilities
Instruct in areas of specialization (Agribusiness) in accordance with the prescribed syllabus.
Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, teaching and learning materials, and trainee records.
Carry out trainee assessment both in class and while on industrial attachment.
Coordinate the storage, care, maintenance, and proper usage of teaching and learning materials, tools, and equipment.
Conduct and participate in co-curricular activities for trainees.
Maintain trainee discipline through guidance and counseling.
Induct and supervise newly deployed Instructors.
Requirements for Appointment
For direct appointment to this grade, an instructor must have:
A Diploma in Agribusiness from a recognized institution.
Training in Pedagogical Skills.
Registration by the Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
Additional Information
Basic Salary: Kshs. 26,900 - 35,380 per month.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
