Job Description
The Assistant Physiotherapist III position is an entry and training grade within this cadre. Working under the supervision of a senior officer, the successful candidate will provide essential physiotherapy services to both inpatients and outpatients within Narok County health institutions. The role focuses on assessment, treatment formulation, and community sensitization to improve patient rehabilitation outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing physiotherapy services to inpatients and outpatients at an outpatient unit, ward, or health institution.
Assessing patient needs, including specific rehabilitation requirements.
Verifying and maintaining accurate information and records relating to patients.
Screening, assessing, and providing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy as per the formulated treatment plan.
Collecting data for operational research.
Sensitizing the community on various physiotherapy issues.
Preparing periodic reports for management review.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
A Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
A Certificate of Registration from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
A current Certificate of Practice from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
A Certificate in computer application skills.
